does anyone know how far the tang goes down the handle of the knife?

i doubt it full tang but does anyone know where?

I just tested mine on a strong magnet. It feels like the tang ends about two inches from the end of the handle. Right where the back grip groove of the knife starts.

I like it. It takes a razors edge very easily and holds it decently, many compare it to SAK steel, its ease of getting back to a razors edge makes up for its lack of edge retention in my opinion. I have done light batoning and a handful of outdoors type tasks, notches, wittling, cutting down medium sticks. For $15 dollars its worth the money.

For such a short blade, it's long and wide enough

I believe they have the same tang though, as does all the short 4116 series

If memory serves correctly the Pendleton's tang is actually longer. Could be wrong though.

If you want to check tangs , get a strong neodimium magnet and run it along the handle. I check all non-obvious knives like that. The Lite Pendletons goes about 3/4 through.

The Pendleton is a really good knife for under $20. Great back-up knife.

Its a great cheapie. After using it the side thumb scallops are really comfortable, good full size handle. Perfect skinner design, makes me want to pick up the higher end version.
I really like all the krupp CS line, hard to find decent user/beaters/loaners that cheap with so many different designs. I keep a canadian belt knife at camp as a loaner and the roach belly in the tackle box, good cheap fishing knife.
The longhunter makes a great camp kitchen knife.......better than some of the knives I see friends use in the kitchen, my mom borrows mine every year on the family camping/fishing tournament. Guess what she got for xmas with some chocolates(we have a $50 max per person rule)
