Cold steel Pendleton mini hunter concealex sheath assist

I have a cold steel Pendleton mini hunter that I’m trying to figure out a better way to run without the nylon belt loop/handle snap closure.

Potentially either tucking into a bino harness or using with a clip attachment to the harness.

The belt loop/handle snap closure is easy to remove, but I’m concerned the concealex sheath will not keep the blade secure on its own

Does anyone have experience using the sheath this way or has anyone made a DIY kydex sheath that would secure better with the kraton handle material?

Thanks in advance

Ditch the secure-ex and get a Kydex sheath. There are plenty of BF members who make custom kydex sheaths who can certainly help you with this. Here is one of them:

That said, there is a non-BF supporting company called RK Custom (just google search the name) who makes excellent kydex sheaths for the Mini Pendleton and will not require you to send in your knife to do so. I have been carrying mine every which way for over 3 years with zero retention issues.

Good luck, and make sure to post pictures of your knife out on adventures.
