Yup, exactly that. I hope Cold Steel will someday (soon) bring back the Twistmaster. How awesome would it be with a CTS-XHP blade?!!!! I for one think they would sell a boat load. People absolutely love Opinels (as do I) however I much prefer the Twistmaster bladeshape and I am rough with my knives so Zytel would work much better as a handle than wood (I typically wash my knives in the sink without regard and the wood swells on the Opinels).

Personally i would like it to be have that rubbery handle like the Cold Steel Kudu. Just would seem to work with it. Id love a more budget version too, either in 4116 or BD1

I have a couple in Carbon V that I love! Would be very interested in updated version with XHP!

Agreed! I have two of the XLs in Carbon V, and would love a reissue. The only change I'd make is for a slightly more robust lock-ring.

Saw one for sale on one of the online shops, in Carbon V

A new Twistmaster would be great.
XHP is a nice steel for it but I would get a couple even if they were the cheaper Krups stuff.

I don't think they will make a knife with this old technology given it's tactical focused designs.

One of the things that I really love about Cold Steel is incredible variety of designs they have marketed. They always seem to be excited and enthusiastic about the whole spectrum of edged tools.

The cheaper the better. Who cares what the steel is if you beat the hell out of it and leave it for dead.

I bought the original, in a large degree, for its Carbon V. A reissue with Krupps would not appeal; I'd just stick with Opinel or Nontron.

While I don't oppose the idea, a lot of the people who love Opinels love them because you get a really good slicer/food prep folder for like $12 max. Twistmaster in XHP would be closer to $100. I'm not sure how many people would wanna shell out that much money for a fancier version of an Opinel, rather than a more easy to open and close 1 hander.

:thumbup: This is why C.S. excites me the most with new year releases. They go way out of the box at times.
