The Frenzy 2 is a beast of a knife and actually quite carry able. However I feel like an even easier to carry size would sell even better. Please make a Large and Medium size to happen. Like a 4 inch and 3.5 or 3 inch version. Also a serrated blade would take it to another level of excellence.

Thirded. And also, straighten out the blade :) I wouldn't complain if they tried the thumb plate.
A waveable version with the thumb plate would be awesome as well.

The reason I brought up the serrated version is from this great article on the tactical wharncliffe. Michael Janich mentioned that a Centofante wharncliffe with a fully serrated edge was the best performing cutter he tested in his pork roast tests.

5th'd!

I 100% agree with this. A small and medium would sell like hot cakes. Seriously Cold Steel, this needs to happen asap.

Sometimes it just baffles me why Cold Steel would forgo obvious win and pursue more dangerous options. For example they could have released the storm cloud in spear/clip point, release all model in satin with coated option, release broken skull in smaller package, smaller frenzy etc. I wonder what kind of market research is done as part of the new product introduction process, or did they just pick from a list of ideas and then cross finger that it works well in the market..

If they make a large and medium Frenzy I would like to see them use thinner stock and/or hollow grind for better edge geometry.

I was sure that the Frenzy would have came in 4" version this year only to be disappointed when the catalog came out. Sometimes, I wonder if the idea of market research at Cold Steel involves a large dartboard, pictures, and a blindfold? Let us all hope this idea gets done this year. Spyderco is coming out with an Endura Wharnie soon so CS better get on the ball as I like the Tri-Ad a lot more than the regular backlock.

This x100. I'm a big fan of the tri-ad, i use them daily during work and they are the best lock for real work in my opinion. But seriously, I often think their design and market research dept are allowed to drink on the job. Satin and stone-wash versions of all black coated models would sell so many more units, and like you said that storm cloud in different blade shapes. I think the storm cloud has the silliest blade shape I've ever seen on any knife, it's just so ugly and un-practical in sharpening. Cold Steel need to read these forums from time to time.

- Smaller frenzy models
- Uncoated blades as standard options
- Lose the stupid billboard and wrestler name logo's - we all know Steve didn't design anything. The broken skull is just a modified Lone Star.
- Spearpoint versions of the XL model Voyagers and Recons
- Release some nice drop point EDC blades with decent steel

= profit

Same goes to Khan, this couldbe the delica sized edc except that they decided to make it in tanto only. A lot of time they discontinue item from the market because of poor sales but perhaps they didn’t give the model a chance to shine. The mini recon 1 is another example, perhaps if it’s made in non coated version it wouda been sold better and not get discontinued

Yes a 4" version would be sweet, or even a 3". Wouldn't mind a machete version too. For educational purposes of course.
