Hello all. I bought this knife about 28 years ago. What is it worth?

That is a sweet blade, but unfortunately I don't have the answer to your question. I look forward to what those more knowledgeable have to say.
 
Sorry. I'm not trying to sell it. a friend of mine saw it and he told me that it was a valuable piece.
 
I have the same knife, bought new sometime in the 80's. It was called the Urban Skinner.

I'm not sure where or even if this is written, but given that the initial post has not been edited, I presume the question IS permitted by the OP. Moreover, as a Gold Member, I presume I am "authorized" to answer.

About 6 months ago, I sold one of these here on the forum for $47 shipped. That was after several price drops and a starting sale price of approximately $60. Mine was an Urban Skinner exactly like the one above (as best as I remember) with the same sheath and in excellent, little-used condition. Heck, that could be the knife I sold in the above pic taken by its new owner for all I know. Anyway, I was also the original owner of the knife that I purchased many years ago and can guarantee its condition, use, and authenticity.

The value of a knife is what the market will bear. In my case, that was $47 shipped CONUS.

I see now. Well, I guess I will stand by my post regardless. I understand the rule. If a mod wishes to excise my answer or the OP's post, then so be it. I am ultimately trying to help a fellow knife enthusiast out with information that is in the public domain. Simple as that. :thumbup:

In truth I think the rule is stupid, but I also give people a heads up to keep them from getting a warning, too. I think the main forum mods mostly ignore these manufacturer subforums unless something is reported specifically, so a lot of this kinda stuff goes under the radar if the actual forum mod doesn't see it(or doesn't care).
