I just wanted to express how disappointed I am with CS for taking on a forum here and then abandoning it.

Bad business!!! Period!!!

I am a huge CS fan and was so excited about being able to ask them questions. As it turned out, I only got the chance to ask one and they didn't even reply.

I hope that they will go to their expired forum and take note to the interest that it generated in such a short time. They are a major player in this business and I cannot believe that they would not want to represent themselves here.

I feel that they have made a mistake dropping their paricipation in the forums. Hopefully they will see the error of their ways and come back.
I will welcome them back!!!

Raptor, calm down. I just think that they have a part time moderator, just working on the clock, and sneaking off for a few minuits to answer a couple of questions. I guess they just must of underestamated on how many responces they have gotten.

I still have faith in them, so I figure there is still hope untill I hear from CS.

Timmy,
I'm not as mad as I sound. Just very disappointed.
My hope is that they will see that we are interested in their partcipation here and will come back.

That was a pretty dumb move. Couldn't they get a couple of dealers to moderate the site.

Look guys - Steve Hoffa tried this as an experiment to see if Cold Steel could get more exposure on the Internet. Unfortunately, the man only has so many hours in the day, and didn't expect you guys to be so enthusiastic, which is partly my fault since I probably could have briefed him better on what to expect.

I am fully confident that Steve (and Cold Steel) will be looking for ways to better tap into this medium, and adapt to what we have to offer. I'll be calling him on Monday to see if we can work out a game plan that will be more successful for everyone. In the mean time, let's not burn any bridges, okay?

As I stated before, my only interest now is to get them back sometime. I (and I'm sure others) do want to harass, insult, or deface CS. We only seek to ask them resonable questions about their products.
I'm sure that anyone who would go to a CS forum is either a CS fan or is interested in their products. I'll still continue to wear their t-shirt.

No bridge burning for me. I want them back.

Sparks,
Would it be an option for us to keep the Cold Steel Forum opened under our own steam? It managed to accummulate alot of traffic in a short time and releaved some of the traffic from the general board.

FWIW, I got a lot of help from other forum members there, even without the company rep. I sure hope to see that the CS forum will continue to thrive, one way or another.
