I want to get one of these but do not know which one to buy. I have heard the rajah 2 is better but why? It cost $70 more. It has a better lock and a 1 and 1/4 inch longer blade then the boker magnum kukri. WHat ekse makes the rajah 2 better and which one do you think i should buy. Thanks

The Rajah II offers a better lock and Cold Steel's patented thumb plate, allowing you to wave it.

The Rajah II gives you the Tri-Ad lock. It's the strongest folding knife lock there is, with the sole exception of the Ram Safe lock, which is only available on one knife. The importance of the Tri-Ad lock's strength cannot be overstated, especially for a huge folding kukri like the Rajah series.

The Rajah II also gives you better steel, and AUS8A as heat treated by Cold Steel is awesome.

But seriously, that lock. Do you really want to trust your irreplaceable fingers with a cheap liner lock?

Definitely the Cold Steel. In a moment of weakness I bought the Magnum, and to be honest thats 17€ wasted. The first time I flicked it open a little harder, the liner went all the way to the other side and I could only pry it back with a screwdriver. I managed to fabricate a larger stop pin and its working now, sort of- but I wouldn't really chop with it, maybe soft stuff like a cardboard or something. If you just want something to play or tinker around with, the Magnum is ok for the money, but if you want to use it in any way, get the CS.
