Does anyone own or handled a Cold Steel Ranch Boss? I'm wanting to know what impressions any of you may have on this knife. What is the fit and finish like, any blade play, gaps, etc... Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I remember reading a couple of threads regarding the Ranch Boss from a couple of years ago. My understanding is that it is a nice knife with good steel. I believe Queen made that run for Cold Steel but when they came out with them the reception was a bit tepid. I think the knife is the Queen #49 pattern with S35VN steel and Bone Stag handles.

Thanks for the info! I'm looking into buying one and haven't seen much on the forums about this particular knife.

It is the now defunct Canal Street.

I had one awhile. Great steel. Great heat treat. Very big and quite thick, but no blades contacted. F&F on mine was a bit lacking. Sunken springs and a little bit of gaps. Pull was a bit light, I'd put it at 4 on main and 3 on secondaries. I think worth what they cost though, overall. A big knife that begs to be used. I've actually thought about another until I grabbed the custom from al Warren which is also 4.25"
