Cold Steel Recon 1...a TERRIBLE Turkey Knife

So yesterday I was out exploring, and found what is the newest park here in the downtown core. They widened the path and added lighting to make it harder for homeless people to hang out there.

But it did not keep out turkeys...

You have to look closely, but there are two turkeys there, right in the heart of downtown, in a gully below street level. Can I turn this anomaly into dinner? Well, I have the Cold Steel Recon 1 with me...

As I explored the other end of the park which has been established for years, the forecast thunderstorm began.
The Recon 1 did work to clear the new growth blocking the stairs to street level, but proved to be a TERRIBLE umbrella.
So I ended up having to take shelter under a bridge by the river:

As you can see, someone else already understood that bridges block rain. That tent has been there for about 3 months now.

Here is a construction site, right in the same area:

They're spending millions of dollars to build a "house" for an old trolley car there. Yay?

Eventually the rain dies down (not entirely stopped, but close to it), so I head out.
I'd seen an old man stacking rocks earlier by the river, so I head over there.
That's what he does; he stacks rocks. He's quite good at it. This stack is shorter by far than usual, due to the storm having chased him off:

The verdict is in: the Cold Steel Recon 1 cut small branches blocking your path, but it will not get you a turkey dinner or shield you from thunderstorms. So don't replace your rifle/shotgun and umbrella with a Cold Steel Recon 1.
