Cold steel Recon 1 (clip or spear point) slicing ability???

Im planning to get one of these 2 knives, and was wondering how is their slicing ability???They look like good slicers, but havent used it and would like some input from some hard core users.THX Ps.will be using it for some food prep,cutting some wood and basic camp chores.
 
I have a clip point Recon and can say they slice great. The high hollow grind combined with the black Teflon like coating make it a great slicer. Mine will cut right through most things with great ease.
 
I have a Recon 1 clip point. From my experience it will treat you well with what you need from it but...I wouldn't use it for food prep due to the crappy coating they have on the blade. It tends to flake off after a little bit of abuse
 
Both spear and clip point slice the same as good as each other
However, a clip point imo will penetrate better
