Some sites list this as G10 handles and AUS-8 steel. Some list it as 440A and zytel. Which is right? Did it used to be one, and then it was changed?

There's an earlier version that was made with zytel scales and 440A steel. The newer model is AUS8 and G10.

I'm having the same problem because I never know if the ad copy is old or if the vendor is selling the older models.

Probably best to email or call the vendor.

Here is mine that my Dad bought as soon as they came out.
It's made in Japan and Zytel, with AUS8A Steel.

i think they were zytel with aus8a (japan), then zytel/440A (taiwan), and now G10/aus8a (taiwan)
i could be wrong...
