Hi folks i saw a recon 1 tanto at a street dealer pretty cheap(other stores x2 the price so hes price is normal we can say) and i talked to him how he find that.he sad a collector sell to him.
I examined the blade and looks original.tri-ad lock and g10 feels right. But blade retention is not nice for a strong lock.Still u cant flick the blade but when i shake the blade up and down it want to open.even at more little tiny lockbocks it didnt happen. My question is it is possible to be fake(looks and feels not) or this blade retention problem says that sth is wrong with lock(rock solid no bladeplay whatsoever)?
i need help guys wanna buy this knife but i cant be sure :D

Side not:its not that bad but pretty easy to win over tension comperad to other spyderco lockbacks.( as i sad still cant flick open)

hope im clear...

Keep in mind the weight of the 4", 3.5mm blade, sucker is heavy.

ops one more question.it is possible to post a pic of recon 1 's boxs back side.the caution part is written like a classical type letters. same with yours?
og cant explain :D

I can get a pic after I get home in 3 hrs?

Also I'm sure you could tighten the pivot screw to increase in handle retention if you really wanted to. The recon's not much of a "flicker". I can whip mine open under hand tho and like it that way.

that should be great m8. thanks.(im gonna check at morning im in different time zone:P) your right its not a flicker but i think i can do it after nice oiling:D

here ya go

Like others have said, it's just due to the long, heavy blade -- nothing to worry about.
