Cold Steel Recon 1

I too have a question about the cold steel recon 1. Is it a good quality, reliable knife? And is it worth the $80-90?

I had a Recon 1, but sold it.The knife just did not impress me.For a few extra dollars, you can get a Benchmade Axis Lock with better blade steel and more comfortable handle.

From what I hear, the lock is plenty strong (although gritty), and I know of no issues with the AUS8A.

But then again, for about $10 more you can have a 154CM (and in some cases D2/M2) Benchmade Axis Lock (better company, better quality, better lock, better blade, better handle, better steel).

Also the Recon 1 loses points in my book for not being available in satin.
