I'm thinking a getting a Cold Steel RECON 1 folder. The one I'm looking at is a plain edge/ black coated blade. I can get it for about $50 NIB. Is that a steal or just a good price ? I don't think this is the right size for an EDC...but I really think I would like to have one...Any one have any experience with the RECON 1 ?

hello, i have one,its a large knife,but its great for the money. ive used it to carve extra wood off a door when the circular saw died,ive cut a lot of tough stuff with it.lock is very strong. i bought it just to use for tough jobs. the grind of the blade is very sharp, & holds an edge well. even though its a bit big for edc,the handle is large & grippy.for 50.00 you cant go wrong...
