Cold Steel Recon Tanto or Clip?

I want a folder I can baton with. Don't tell me not to do it, i just want a folding knife with the ability to baton. IS the Cold Steel Recon Clip Point or Tanto balde better?

I don't plan on doing it often, its just a nice capability to have if you need it.

A clip point would generally be more useful, but I don't know what to say in this case...

The Tanto version retains its full spine thickness all the way down to the tip. It actually weighs more than the clip point because of this. The clip point has a swedge grind on the spine.

In this case, go with the tanto.

And when the knife breaks after you baton with it, are you going to bad mouth the company for not honoring the warranty?

i heard Bear Grylls will be coming out with a nice heavy duty folder... forget Cold Steel, Gerber is on point!



jus kidding, but seriously.. go with something like the rajah or spartan.. i think they will hold up alittle better
