Cold Steel Red River Hudson Bay

Hey all,

I recently picked up a Cold Steel Hudson Bay butcher knife and like it. Just I won a Cold Steel Red River knife on eBay whhich looks similar. I want any info on this discontinued line. What other styles were/are available? I found a couple of reviews doing websearches. Thanks for any info.

The Cold Steel Red River-Hudson Bay line was CS's attempt to hone in on the CAS market. There were three styles a clip point, a light skinner(only a little sweep to the blade) and a deep banana skinner(beef skinner type).

They were sold with or without handles, and a pouch style sheath. The steel was carbon V.

If you like them, check out the Russell/Green River line, I bet the knives were made under contract by them.

Great knives. I re-handled several and gave them to friends. The Elk Skinner and North American Hunter are my faves.
