Can anyone comment on Cold Steel San Mai knives? Has anyone had any experience with these knives?

Thanks:confused:

They're a little overpriced and the steel is basically AUS8 with 420 over it. If you want a laminated blade, get yourself a Fallikniven instead

I have the CS Master Hunter in AUS-8. A very good knife but to go to the expense of making San Mai they should go to a better core steel. I agree that the Fallkniven with it's VG-10 core is a better deal, I have a S-1.

Their newer san mai has a VG-2 core. Their developmental san mai is bainite L6 sandwiched between two pieces of maraging alloy. To overcome hazards from welding, it's fused together by roundhouse kicks from Chuck Norris.

Well, the part about the VG-2 steel is true....

I thought it was VG-1?
