This is an old knife, but probably my favorite out of my whole collection. I've rebeveled it to 12 degrees with a 15 degree microbevel off the Sharpmaker and it's a cutting machine. See the videos below for a sharpening and cutting demo. It's currently waiting for new cherry wood scales.

I have the newer krupp version called the longhunter now.....more PC than "scalper" LOL

sure wish mine had awesome carbon steel like yours, useful allpurpose blade.

Even though its a little long for some things, it cuts so well with its 12 degree angle (rebeveled by me) it's hard to find anything it doesn't do well. My wife even used it to cut chicken bones for wings. I've toyed with making my own out of O1 using a 5" blade, but haven't done it yet.
