Cold Steel Sharpening Angles

I have a Cold Steel Recon Scout and an SRK (VG1, not AUS 8) and would like to know what the best angle would be..for sharpening them?

I have a Sharpmaker and it has the 40 and 30 degree options but I'd like some opinions as to which would be the best angle for each of these knives.
