Mine has seen solid use in the yard. I recently had to remove some well established bushes/shrubs. They were big with extensive root systems. Even a small root stops a regular shovel dead in it's tracks. The CS SF shovel slices through. I was hacking through roots several inches in diameter, digging, hitting rocks, everything. The little SF shovel proved the perfect tool. It was dinged up a little from direct rock hits while chopping, but the damage was minimal and easily fixed. Its well worth the price just for garden use.
A buddy of mine just finished a weekend primitive camping trip. He took tons of blades (knives, saws, axes, machetes). He said by far the most useful tool he took was his shovel. From fire care to latrine duty, it saw a lot of use. I believe he actually had a folding E-tool, but having used both, I'd easily opt for the CS shovel over the E-tool any day. I bet he will in the future as well knowing how much he used a small shovel. Considering it's a reasonable chopper and limber, it may be the perfect camp tool. Take care.
