I know there's a lot of controversy over which is better steel, the BD1, versus the AUS10. But on a different note, I noticed some of the blades are marked differently. Do you know if the first editions of the BD1 Spartan actually has it written on the blade or was it left blank, with only the logo showing?

I've noticed some that say BD1 on the blade and some that don't.

i don't own a spartan but i do own both rajahs in BD1.

the small one has no steel marked, big one does.

get the rajahs while you can, they're amazing knives. the smaller one is by far the smoothest CS i own. :)

Yeah. I would definitely like to start getting a few more cold steel blades, the Voyager looks nice as well.

I despise Cold Steel knives. I'll never own one!

nothing.....
I don't see nothing wrong either. Getting back to bd1 steel it appears to me that it is more corrosion-resistant than 10 a. The 10A has to be lightly oiled. Or will discolor I prefer the bd1 because it seems to ward off corrosion. I only have one knife in CTS bd1 it's a Counterpoint XL.. either one is still good in my opinion
