Maybe its good to, because will give more durability. Like an icebreaker now. Still sharper enough to go through something hard. (Edited: But not as sharp and elegance as before, I will try to make more straight end next week. Thanks for notice, I will update results)
As I promised, was make an edge a little sharper. I really not sure if you can see the difference after all, but I was make it sharper to the end, but i dont know why its look more rounded thought . The last photo to the right is the end result.
I like it. I think its optimal now and feels more brutal.
I have a question. Is it realy still possible to make tight and sharp on the end and keep it double edge with this blade form?
The problem is I can realy do it, but I need to remove a quite big metal piece at the begining. As you can see I need to go almost till that main strip in the middle of the blade. Is it will not lead that blade end will be not as strong as before? I just afraid to damage totaly the whole blade geometry.
Finaly I decided to go for help to more experienced master Messer Holdorf , which helped me realy much. Less words, more photo.
Here is all evolution from original Spartan to polished and with false edge sharpened. As you can see result 2 and 3 the end are rounded.
Thank you very much Samuraistuart without your notice this knife probably never become so good as it is now.
On the last number 4 photo the end are sharp at last. Finaly yea. This maked me so happy.
A mirror finish
Just beautifull. Thanks you Cold Steel for creating this beautifull blade and handle , Meeser Holdorf for tuning and fining it up , samuraistuart for advice about rounded and for help instruction about polishing which I do by myself. It all taked in general aprox. +5 more hour to get this result
