Was there ever a different blade shape for this knife. Has the model changer over the years?

Not that I know of. There is the Recon Tanto, a companion design with the tanto tip and a slightly longer blade, same handle and Carbon V steel.

The SRK originally had a parkerized blade but I'm not sure about the Recon Tanto. Both the SRK and Recon Tanto have had leather, nylon, and kydex sheaths. There was also an older knife called the Recon Tanto which was the same as the original tanto but bead blasted.

As far as I know it's always been the same, except for the sheath.

SRK is still the same as it was in the start...except it got a kydex sheath now...
