Cold Steel SRK Search and Rescue Knife 3V

I thought that the SRK in 3V was made in italy, but i was offered one that the owner said was 3V but all the blade says (not on the SRK side) is cold steel and stamped with JAPAN?
I want a 3V to try out so want to be sure
 
The SRK 3V is made in Taiwan. Probably a VG1 Model if from Japan. Check out the awesome stickied history of the SRK by jlaufer.
 
If it just says Japan, then pretty sure it is AUS8A. The VG-1 models I have seen are marked as such, saying "VG-1 Japan".

That’s what I was thinking as well, this is an AUS8 SRK.
 
I guess all 3V models are now made in Taiwan since even Warcraft Tanto is made there.
 
I have a 3v srk stonewashed blade
its made in italy the black ones were made in tawain the master hunter 3v is italy too.
