I have a SRK in Carbon V that is smply a magnificent knife by any standards!
I polished the black krap off of the blade, and reprofiled it to a convex edge. It's my general camping and hiking knife. It's also my "go to" knife when I have something to cut where I don't want to risk damage to my Bark Rivers or Doziers.
To me, at least, the SRK in Carbon V is one of those rare items where you actually get more than your money's worth.![]()
Best? Best for WHAT? Without further clarification I'd have to choose my older SRK made of Carbon V.
I have a Carbon V Recon Scout and I must say it is a great knife. It is thick, heavy, and has a great edge because of the full flat grind.
I'd imagine the SRK would be better if you want a lighter knife or one without a double guard.
polished blade + convex edge => why not a Fallkniven A1 ?
