any info from the knowledgeable out there?

i have a couple that i've collected over the years, the sheaths seem to be very nice tooled leather, much nicer than the kydex that was supplied w/ my safekeeper II (japan aus8).

i believe the next model after this one was called the defender, but there just is not much info available out there, figured you guys might know. the ones that i have appear to be the same one as featured in "platoon".

thanks

one of the original cs push daggers that eventually grew into the safemaker/safekeepers

indeed leather sheath, last time i saw one for sale was about 8 years go.

There was one on eBay (I know, I know, not endorsing, just sayin' :D) several months ago. Other than that...

Pray.

I thought the one in Platoon was the Urban Skinner-single edge, upswept tip. Been a long time since I've watched it, though.
I had the Terminator years ago.

edit: Haven't checked it out, but found another online reference, and I think I'm wrong and that it was the Terminator in the movie.

I have the Safe Keeper III and II both in Leather and Kydex sheath... their size and length are different even for the same model... wish I haven't sell two of my safe Keeper I they are very nice, and you can put it everywhere... but then someone come to me with $400 each for it, it's hard to resist.

I think the Terminator is the same Length as the Safe Keeper I but the design is a bit different.

I sure remember the CS Terminator and Urban Skinner. In fact New Zealand law specifically prohibits these actual models!!

They seem much nicer and well made compared to the current ones - "they don't make them like they used to" is so true.

These particular knives feature in "Modern American Fighting Knives" by Bruce McKay (published in the mid 80s).
