Hi, I see some black paint coming off of my black aluminum handle of Cold Steel Ti-lite.

I want to remove all the paint on it(carbon electroplating), Does anyone know what is a good way to remove this kind of paint?

Remove the handles.
Get some "Marine" grade paint stripper.
Lightly abrade the paint but not the metal; just some light scuffs with sand paper so the stripper can get UNDER the paint.
Keep the handles warmish; at least 70° F
Wait for the paint to blister; big soft blisters like when you get one from walking.
Brush off the paint with a scrub brush.
Reapply the stripper; probably need to do this at least once.

Pasivate the stripper when you get all the paint off according to the instructions on the container. This probably is just washing in soap and water and running a fine brush or pipe cleaner through all the screw holes and big holes in the handles.

The bare metal may not look like much when you are done. You will probably have to texture it or polish it and it is going to make black marks on your hands during hard use and or come off on your pocket. The aluminum will naturally develop a thin oxidized (clear) coating but it may not be even or durable.

I recommend replacing the scales with titanium. You will, as far as I know, have to make those your self. I plan to for mine.

Lets bring the Ti back into the Ti Lite

I want a titanium handle, can you show me the one you are doing? I want to buy some off of you! Thank you.

Snowman,

First off I can not conduct any kind of business here because I have not paid this forum to have that privilege so no.
Secondly I haven't begun on the Ti lite handles yet . . . to quote a saying . . . at this stage "It's merely a chocolate bar in my back pocket" . I will post in the thread I started when I get further with the project.

But
You will have to make your own or get with one of the knife makers here to make some for you.
Sorry
