cold steel ti-lite mods

I have had the ti-lite (aluminum version) for a few months. Sadly the finish on the handle scales and blade chip off relativly easily. My idea was to put a mirrior polish finish on the blade, liners, and hardwear (screws and belt clip). My final task would be to redo the scales and paint them jet black. Dose anyone know how to go about doing this?
