Cold Steel Tiger Claw non triad lock

I have seen pics on ebay of one thats one of the new ones and NOT a triad lock? anyone else seen these and knows that i am talking about!?!

Never seen a non triad version before. Is this weirdn the CS Website the plain edge is $129 and the serrated one is $199. Usually the serrated are the red headed step child for buyers in most models. There does seem to be two versions though.

Wow, didn’t know this. Thought the Tiger Claw was introduced as a Tri-Ad knife.

It was technically still a triad lock, just operated in a different way. Instead of depressing the lock bar like a backlock, the opening mechanism moved to the to of the lock bar. It was an attempt to make triad lock more user friendly to unlock.
I asked Demko about it, he mentioned the design didn’t pass their test, because the spring tension had to be made very weak for the lock to be able to unlock that way.
I hoped Demko give it another shot. I think there’s still a lot of potential innovations around the triad lock.
