I picked this up from a local gun shop today for $25 (and the model 10 - wasn't $25 though). No markings anywhere. I'm guessing it's the older Cold Steel version? Or did I get lucky? ;)
Thanks.

That looks like an original ATC Tomahawk to me. I have a couple of the post Vietnam versions. I can't tell because of picture quality but if the handle is green it might even be a RVN period issue ATC. They were not all marked with an ordnance logo mark. Just my 2 cents worth.

That looks to be an earlier version of the Cold Steel Vietnam tomahawk—since it’s discontinued then $25 is a good deal. As far as the original Vietnam Tomahawks, there were only 3800 made by American Tomahawk Company in Pennsylvania back in the 1960’s. I have held a few of the originals. When they started painting them green, it was the same paint used on Jeeps—way more drab, no shine to it like the Cold Steel versions. They also spray painted the whole tomahawk—including the bevels. The handles were longer and the ones I held had lanyard holes.

I sheath real leather? If so, then this is very old version of CS. As they switched to faux leather over the time.

It looks exactly like the Cold Steel version I used to own from many many years ago (about 20 years), so it's a legit Cold Steel one. Nice pick up for $25. They have thick bevels and I had mine convexed by a local maker.
