No doubt these tests aren't taken seriously. But the mere fact that the knives last as long as they do is testament to their construction and quality materials!

Unpopular opinion, but I like JoeX. The idea is testing the knife to its absolute limits. If the knife can eat that much punishment, then that inspires more confidence in the same knives I own. OG Cold Steel did this all the time. As long as he’s not hurting anyone or doing anything illegal, more props to him.

Long-term reasonable use reviews are more informative though, I’ll admit.

I agree, I'm usually like... "Well, I won't be doing that, so I suppose it will work just fine..."
