Hi - I have a puzzle for you (- its a puzzle to me):

I have a TrailMaster that I was told several years ago was 'Pre-Carbon V.' Can anyone confirm what I was told by the following info and give me some years and steels?

Nylon Sheath. On knife, 'Cold Steel' is etched or stamped on L of blade with 'Made in Japan' underneath. On other side of blade is 'Trail Master.' Kraton handle, I guess. Silver guard.

Inner two part white box, outer Black box 'Cold Steel' with a white tag stuck on the end that 'says' "No. 16JS Trail Master 1Pc. Made in Japan."

Thanx, guys -
Frank

Sounds like a second generation Japan 16JS made TM in Aus6. I used to have one of those. Unlike the Carbon-V ones
it has a convex edge right? But I'm pretty certain it didn't pre-date the carbon V models.
Post your query in the Cold Steel forum and JLauffer can answer your question with a definitive response.

Or, go here and scroll down to the Cold Steel Trailmasters.
Your TM is on there.
