Had an old True Flight Thrower that was begging to be used as a bush knife so ground the handle to a nice shape with just a little slimming towards the top and then made/fitted some oak scales. Not a perfectionist and it was the first time i had done something like this but the end result is a good solid (5mm thick 1055 carbon steel) usable/practical knife. Interestingly the balance point is about 25mm from the top of the handle. Holding it high on the handle makes it very nice to use for detailed work while holding it right at the bottom of the handle places the weight forward making it adequate to chop at saplings up to 75-100mm. It also batons with ease. Took the clasp off the original sheath and it now slips deeply in with a solid friction fit. All in all very happy with it for such a low cost option.

Welcome to Bladeforums!

Looks good, those throwers make solid bushcrafters.
I moved this because customizing isn't what we mean by custom knives.

Very nice work. Did you thin out the blade yorself? If so, how did you go about doing it without creating heat to the point where the tempering might be endangered?

I have a "True-Bal" throwing knife I bought in the 1970's, the shape of which was meant to be a combination hunting and throwing knife. Don't know what I was dreaming of hunting back then. Problem is that the blade is so thick that I can't use it for anything other than a paperweight or an ax. Yours, at least the blade, looks thin enough even for a little work in a field kitchen.
