Cold steel tsuka problems? Quality of this sword?

I own a warrior series katana. I know they're heavy compared to other swords but this doesn't bother me as my upper body is very strong.

Blade seems good. 1055 spring steel is hard as hell to break or deform ime.

I've heard older posts on here (2008, 2010, and before) saying their tsukas have a tendency to break during use, has this issue been resolved?

Does anyone know where I can get a better scabbard? Stock on is pretty flimsy, chipped laquer and end piece fell off, barely used this thing too.

The issue won't be resolved on MOST production katanas.
Tsuka's tend to be horribly made for the most part and may break during use. That's why a majority of them are sealed with permanent glue, and are often shimmed so the blade can sit properly.
