Did they change their coating? It used to be really bad and chip off. Looks different now. Is it more like Spydercos or Benchmades now or is it still the same? Thanks!

The only change I'm aware of in their coatings is in the new Recon 1 folder in XHP steel, which has DLC instead of Teflon. There are going to be other changes in steel types, and perhaps coatings, coming up, but that's all I know of currently.

So they still have that "painted on" coating that chips off? I dont own one but have been eyeing a AK47 but dont want one of the coating comes off like that

I picked up a few of the 2015 AK-47s and they have the XHP blade steel with DLC coating, so problem solved.
