I'm thinking of treating myself to a Cold Steel Tuff Lite clip point. Any reason why I shouldn't? Is there another folding pocket-size locker I should look at? Rants and raves are welcome.

Take a close look at the Cold Steel Medium Clip-Point Voyager. Sure, it's a little bit bigger, but still fits very well in a pocket.

If you want to keep it close to that size, you may want to consider the Spyderco Ladybug. I, myself, am trying to decide between the Mini Dyad, Calypso Jr. Lightweight, and Delica (and having a tough time deciding). I'm leaning towards the Miny Dyad or Calypso Jr., but I'm not sure. I do like the Voyagers also. People make fun of Cold Steel for their advertising tactics and, truth be told, they deserve it. But they make good knives. I like Spyderco a little more.

I've been carrying a CS Clip Point Tuf-Lite on my keyring now for about a month.

It's been used to cut box tape, twine, loose threads, plastic wrap from CD jewel cases, and open envelopes.
It performs like a (little) champ!!!!!

It came to me pretty sharp out of box. Not as sharp as some other CS products, but pretty sharp non the less.
I can't wait for this one to get dull so that I can put a nice edge on it!!

Also, as indicated before, it's been on my keyring the whole time. I was expecting the handle (and maybe even the blade) to get all scratched up since it would be coming in contact with the keys all day long while in the pocket. The opposite has been true.
No scratches at all noted.
I do suppose, however, that under a microscope they would be evident. But who gives a rat's a** about that.

Free tip: Don't buy directly from CS. That's what I did just to find out (here on the forums) that there are some great on-line vendors that sell for great prices and offer great service as well. I got beat...be smarter than me!!!

Overall: Nice little knife. I would recommend.

I have the clip point Tuf-Lite. I don't carry it often, but only because I already carry several knives all the time anyway. But it's a really surprisingly good cutter...it cuts all out of proportion to its small size.

Also, due to the long curve, there is actually more cutting edge than the 1.75" long blade would indicate. I would definitely recommend it as a "little, key-chain-sized knife".
