Has anyone seen this thing? Some friends and I were browsing some knife stores the other day and we came across it... it was dirt cheap ($11) and looks absolutely ugly, so naturally I ordered one.:p Was just wondering if anyone has ever used it. For 11 dollars I sort of figure I get what I paid for, but I'm hoping that it will help me cut down a small tree (~5 inch diameter) in the backyard and "prune" some bushes.

Also, wondering if anyone tried to use the heavy machete sheath on this thing. It looks to me like they took the heavy machete and added a 2 handed handle to it... I ordered the sheath also because it was just another 5 bucks and I'' just see if I can make it fit :)

here is a pic....

I have not used that machete, but in general such blades are not meant for thick wood cutting and fare very poorly at it because of *excessive* binding. They are designed for thick soft vegetation, or large hollow vegetation.
