Hey all. Just decided to buy one of most recent model cold steel voyager....which one would you choose?

I chose the large...b/c good priced heavy duty capability IMO.....medium is slightly easier to edc, yes, but figured the small extra weight for extra potential use gained with the large was worth it, esp if it's the only blade i find myself carrying, which is probable, again, bc difference in weight seems negligible to me, esp for trade off for length/extra utility. anyways, if you've got opinion, let me know, just curious! think either is good choice and probably personal at that point. keep em sharp...

I just got a medium tanto off of the exchange on a sort of impulse buy, I had seen previously that the tanto blade has a pretty unique upsweep to it which drew me in. I always envisioned myself getting the clip point but this one happen to come up, so I jumped on it. After having it for a few days, I couldn't get past the awkward aesthetics of the blade/handle ratio (especially in regards to the blade height to handle height) and ended up grinding off the front finger guard. Pictures online don't really convey the awkwardness unless you physically see one in person. It looks a lot better to me, with no loss of functionality. And functionality it certainly has in spades, I usually avoid tanto's but this one is pretty great for edc work.

That being said, I would have probably bought the large if that were an option where I live. The added utility and more equal proportions are something I wouldn't mind.

edit: didn't realize the handle/blade ratio is the same on the large, hmm...

great, thanks for the input. the large i find to be extremely ergonomic, and upon first opening and holding it my reaction was "wow, that's a comfortable handle with great purchase and weight distribution". if you get a chance to handle the large, def take advantage b/c you may find it different. i've never handled the medium. but the large feels great, can't comment on use as only just got it though. thanks again!

I have the XL and the 2 XL and they both go with me most days.

Not at the same time.

I also carry a Rajah I,or a Rajah II.

The looks I get from my friends is too funny.

Large. I have an XL and a large. The XL is not really practical in real world day to day use.

I have a medium and a large... the medium was nice, a bit small grip for my normal-sized hand, but I like the large better, easier to cut larger things and the added blade mas makes it easier to close one-handed. I was thinking about an XL if it wouldn't attract looks when using it, but then again I'd just go with a fixed blade if I wasn't concerned about looks.

I use a medium voyager as a money clip and a large voyager as an edc. In my mind, in my hands I consider the medium to be small and the large to be medium.

I have a 'Large' Voyager, that is quite impressive. Great ergos and a beefy blade, however, it hasn't managed to kick the 4" Gunsite from my pocket.
