cold steel voyager (2011) thumb stud

I read somewhere that the thumb stud is actually two pieces, but I only see a flat-head slot for removal on one side. Anyone know more about this or the best way to remove if necessary? Reason I initially looked into it was b/c I thought it was one piece screwed straight through the blade and was thinking if it got rubbed or twisted in pocket it might then become uneven and I'd have to adjust it. If it is actually two pieces though then that's not a worry, but curious how it would be removed. Literally just got the knife so don't wanna mess it up by investigating it myself and ruining the thumb stud or blade...not yet!!

It's two pieces that screw into each other, there's nothing to worry about unscrewing it.

gotcha...so unscrew (assume standard lefty loosey, righty tighty) the one and the other can just be removed or falls out is what you're saying? also, thanks for the reply to the voyager thread i posted after making the purchase, haven't replied to that one in particular, but will to comment on the blade since others may be interested.
