so guys im just looking for a very large blade to impress my friends with.

Cold Steel Spartan or Cold Steel Voyager XL???

Cold steel espada xl. But out of those two, Pure cool factor, probably the spartan. I showed my spartan at work and drew a crowd.

I would choose the spartan because I have experience with it and it has the waveable thumb plate. Although, I'm sure the voyager XL is probably just as substantial and strong.

I enjoyed my Spartan when I owned it. A bit bulky but its a solid knife. If you just want a knife as a show-off piece for the collection though, I'd say an Espada XL being that it is the largest regular production folder that is out there right now (as far as I know).

Cant speak for the Voyager, ive never had one but the Spartan is definetly large and impressive.
I love mine!

Next to a Glock knife for size comparison.

For its size the Spartan is very easy to carry clipped in the pocket and it looks
remarkably small there too but when it comes out it's a beast.

see if you can find a used cold steel espada xl, that is the king of the giant folders which will impress the hell out of anyone. too bad they dont make them any more :(

I own a XL Voyager and I, get lots of comments when I take it out.

But the C/S Rajah I gets even more comment.

I often EDC the XL Voyager, the R-I is on my know and I was playing with it at B'fast as my retiree friends know me and are not at all surprised at it.

They thought it was a beast.

I also own an Espada but that is too big to fit anyplace but the small of back and clipped inside the waistband.

And I use BDU's from 5:11 as my EDC pants.

The R-I [ and R-II that I also own ] will take more abuse than the Voyagers.

I would have to go with the Cold Steel Voyager XL Tanto in that battle...but I love the Spartan, too! Tough call...

I haven't owned a Spartan, but I love my Voyager XL clip point. Mine lives in the garage and is used to break down cardboard for the recycle bin. It is an excellent slicer and very comfortable in extended use.

Espada XL and Rajah II I believe are the two largest CS folders, both larger blade size than Spartan and Voyager XL (both CS models I like a lot)
