I picked up a Voyager today at a pawnshop. I noticed that it was marked made in Japan, so are current voyagers made in Japan or in Taiwan? I also noticed that it isn't a Triad lock. Would it still be an Aus-8a? It's the Tanto voyager with partial serration. I don't know enough about Cold Steels, so any info would be great.

We have made a lot of different Voyagers over the years.
Without seeing images it's tough for me to figure out which exact model it may be.
Here's a link to our catalog archive. You should be able to find your model in there.
Our current models feature Japanese steel but they are manufactured in Taiwan. If it's marked "Japan" and it doesn't have a Tri-ad lock it will most certainly be an older knife.
Some of the older Voyagers (especially the VG-1 models) are collectors items to the right people. But regardless of whether it's collectible or not you have found yourself a great knife - congratulations :)
Thanks for choosing Cold Steel and enjoy your new knife

I am fairly sure that the VG-1 models had the blades marked with it on the back (right) side.

Yes, most likely it is a 2000 model from when they revamped the Voyager line with metal pocket clips.

It's a great knife so far. I just don't like the overly aggressive serration. I think I've broken 3 of the small teeth on the serration already...
