Curious on what match up people would want to see versus Cold Steel models. You know, the spine wack and weight hang variety.
I haven't seen any in awhile and actually they are my favorite marketing vids that cold steel releases because there are actual metrics to compare.

I’d like to see the strap lock Buck uses on their Marksman, I think it’s one of the few they haven't tested.

A counterfeit model vs its counterpart, always been curious just how bad they are(other than them being counterfeit of course). I know they have several different makers but none the less still curious.
 It wouldn't be much of a contest . Most counterfeits are just made to LOOK like real but without any concern for performance . Many are actually dangerous to hard use .:poop:

traditonal buck 110 wpuod be interesting to see what weight it can hold. stood up to bladehqs max weight of 300 something lbs without failure but love to see what weight makes it fail just for knowledge. then again if it holds up well that doesnt help cold steel at all from their marketing angle.

That's what I am thinking too but would like to actually see how bad. CS could do it to show how bad and even dangerous they are(public safety ya know) and maybe sway OP away from them after they see fingers coming off or something more PC.

Ok, I'll play...

Cold Steel 4Max vs. Andrew Demko Custom 4Max ;)
Well played sir.

I'll add to that - Demko AD-15 Scorpion Lock vs Any comparable Tri-Ad of similar weight and construction. I want to see how that pivot anchor point in the Scorpion Lock bar handle holds up seeing as it's hollow and threaded with a male/female screw. Unlike all Tri-Ad locks that use a solid stop pin to take the force.

Yup...good question...but don't you think the majority of the torque is gonna be around the solid pin that notches down into the blade tang & the pivot? But you may be right...only one way to find out...test, test, test & repeat...hahaha!

At first glance it's easy to think that's the case, but the actual fixed anchor point is back at that screw, so any force forwards and backwards is pulling or pushing against that one single threaded screw in the handle. I know it's strong because of the thickness of the hollow pin, but still...I've always wanted to know how strong it really is :)

I see now >>> it would "pull" on that pin...it could very well be the weakest link on the Scorpion Lock. But as you noted...it still looks plenty hefty to be a "weakest" link.

I don't recall any "Proof" videos Andrew's posted about his Scorpion Lock...but then again, my Google-fu has been weak lately and I may have overlooked them :p

:) Just wanted to bump this thread because the new CS issue AD10 and 15 really need to be featured in some proof and vs videos !:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Although , I'm not sure how you'd design a test to be fair to the Scorpion lock unless you simulated the reinforcing effect of being gripped in hand .

Hmm I don’t think they need to simulate a hand grip because they haven’t in competitors framelock in the past. The internal spring should help... I think
Yes ! The problem of how to fairly test the practical strength in use of a frame lock is similar . Probably a never ending "bone of contention" , also ! ;)
