Do any of you guys out there have one of these? I'm on the fence about whether to get one or not. I have several older cold steel tomahawks with the Hickory handles. If I got a Warhawk it would be my first poly propylene handle hawk.
What do you guys think of them? Are they fairly good at doing chopping tasks, or are they just really good at looking mean and nasty?
If I got one, it would mostly be for fondling/under the bed, and secondarily used for chopping and delimbing while camping...

Ive not personally handled one but I have plenty of experience with partial tang and synthetic material handled tomahawks. The design is flawed. It WILL fail......and when it does.....its likely to cause harm. If you like the idea of a synthetic handle material and are able to spend a few more bucks........get a VTAC.

If money were no object, id have an RMJ or Winkler for martial use, a gransfors for backpacking/camping, and a Spax or crash axe for breaching/egress.
I'd rather spend my very limited money/blade acquiring opportunities on knives.

Ok,
Barring synthetic hafts, which wood hafted variety of a sub $45 hawk would you go for?
Being there for the same reasons that I already listed.
I don't need it for bushcraft, egress, or skinning; just a "hallway piece", that occasionally takes on saplings and tree limbs.
How about the CS Vietnam hawk? Spike hawk?

I already have a Norse hawk, and a Rifleman hawk,
I'm thinking a spiked hawk, Maybe one of the Schrade offerings, but I'm not sure how proven they are...
Vtac is too expensive by a lot, especially with a bk21 on the list ;)
