A Rajah TriAd holds 600 pounds +. ZT can you top it? My $50 Spartan holds 300 lbs. All of these "heavy duty" knives are posers (Strider, Hest, Gayman, etc.) (Not suitable for general) Thank God for Lynn Thompson...

my rajah II is certainly a beast. I'm going to order a rajah III soon maybe. don't have any experience with other "heavy duty" folding knives but I feel CS products are usually a really good value.

Crap. I thought these things were for cutting other things. :o

BTW, it's Grayman. I don't know him or own any of his knives but I don't think he deserves to have the name his father gave him debased like that.

I can't tell if you're trolling or not. If you're being serious, sure Cold Steel folders are great, especially if you intend to do things you shouldn't be doing with a folding knife. The Triad lock is very strong but it is essentially a glorified lock back knife lock. Sure you can stab into a car door but the blade wont be long enough to do any type of cutting in any feasible amount of time in a situation like that. ZT, Strider, and others are still great folders. They realize the ability to put hundreds of pounds of negative pressure on a locking mechanism is moot because if you still have the in your hand when this happens, you no longer have a hand and you knife no longer matters. Not that having a lock that strong isn't good. Nutnfancy batoned a log into fire wood with one of the new recon 1s and still has no blade play. That's awesome, but those other hard use folder never claim that they are made for that stress. They are hard use soldier knives and perform excellently at that task, and have better steel than the AUS8 in Cols Steel folders. Again, not that AUS8 is bad, but it doesnt have many of the properties of the blade steels in these other knives. I don't hate on Cold Steel, who I think make good knives, but to completely disregard many very reputable knives who have gained their reputation because of their excellent quality and performance is stupid.

Now, if you were just making a joke, it's pretty funny.

Would be nice if they made one in all titanium. Sadly, Demko has a full backlog. Also couldn't remember the last time I needed to exert 600 lbs of force directly on the spine of the knife. I did remember seeing a guy hammer his ZT 0301 through a bolt though, just seems like something I'm more likely to do.

Nice trolling thread.
