I used to collect them, had a bunch then sold them off, I used to like the handles and found that they were good for anyhting short term and offerd good grip, but after doing some chopping for 10+ min they started hurting my hands, a little to aggresive patteren on the kraton i guess. so i sold them all off and bought knives with better steel and better handle material. IMO You cant beat them for the price but at the same time the old saying you get what you pay for is still true. Just my .02 cents.

what CS knives are you collecting?
When i first started my knife craze CS was my first favourite company "gateway knife" i have since moved on, what in particular attracts you to them?
I like the camillus made stuff, and i dont hate krayton since i think it is a goodlow cost material as long as you dont need to use the knife for an extended period of time.
Their using of the ATC name on their hawks makes me lose all respect for them so i wont be buying their knives any time soon.

I agree with Brian/LizardKing.... after their shenanagins with ATC, I will never buy anything from them again. I do have a handful of their stuff, and like them ok enough. I just have bought stuff that is better, and gets used instead of them. They are good entry level knives, especially if you get their seconds. Otherwise, some of their stuff is way overpriced for what you get. Their Laredo Bowie comes to mind immediately. For that much money, I could commision a finer large fixed blade from a multitude of custom makers here.

it seems like everything but the camillus made knives or going down hill, well at least down market (they could be good for their price range) I am saying this because of their use of 420, and 440a as opposed to their previous use of AUS-8.
But still the fact that they are messing with ATC makes my want to avoid them.
