COLD STEEL'S BLACK TALON II FINAL

I can’t lie. I’m glad they are seeing what worked for Lynn/cold steel consumers and they are running with it. I never wanted this knife but after seeing “stickman” slice up that meat with it.... damnit, I want one.
 
I think it was OK, so props to those dudes. But, I prefer, by a large margin, the old LT videos. LT's videos may have been a bit over the top, but he was truly "into" all of that stuff. From the spears, to blow guns, to martial arts moves with knives, he was a student and aficionado of the stuff. I believe he practiced what he preached, literally.
 
They've got a long way to go to equal LCT and his crew , but at least they are trying .

I've never liked the marketing hype for the Spyderco Civilian and same goes for this video , where the untrained girlfriend can effectively use this knife for SD .

For fighting /SD , this type of knife is best used differently from conventional knives and needs to be trained and practiced for best results . :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Even if you have training with conventional knives , need to retrain for this type .

Carefully , because it's very easy to hook and rip yourself with this thing until you get used to handling . I know this because ...! :eek::oops:

Objectively I don’t think the marketing is better or worse, Just different.

That’s how I felt when they started talking about kitchenware in one of their first update videos.
 
No matter how-you-slice-it, the Black Talon II rocks! A perfect augment to my 10mm Dan Wesson Razorback. Definitely, a martial-weapon fully in-tune with Lynn's philosophy. A smart marketing-ploy to bring-in Jimislash, to do a quick-review. If you understand your customer-base, and stay with what works, you'll pretty-much guarantee success. Especially, when it performs as claimed.
 
Very weird watching a stranger peddling Lynn's 'babies'.
I'm glad Jimmy got a paying gig with CS/GSM.
I like the more serious CS/GSM Jimmy.
