Does anyone have any first hand info about this new folder? It just came out and does look interesting. Thanks in advance!

I haven't seen one yet, but it's a Phil Boguszewski design.

It looks pretty cool, but I think it's a little overpriced.

That's my general opinion of all Cold Steel knives: cool, but overpriced. Smoky Mountain has run sales on Cold Steel merchandise in the past, and I took those opportunities to snap up a Vaquero Grande and Desperado at prices I considered appropriate to my personal economic demand curve. :)

I love the styling of the Ti-Lite. At a lower price I'd buy one.

I agree with your comments about the price of the Tri-Lite. However, Botach has them for $90.00. Yes, I know about the problems getting delivery from Botach, but at this price it might be worth the potential headache.

The knife sure looks nice anyway.

$90 bucks is more like it. It does really look cool and I'm glad to see new folders from Cold Steel other than the Voyagers and the Vaqueros. Their Zytel lockbacks are good, but the look is old and boring.

Wow, under wholesale, that's an extremely good price. I might have to buy every one they have at that price.

:( All I can tell you about the ti-lite
is beware of sticky locks, had a lot of trouble
with them not wanting to unlock.

Spark: Your comment, about Botach's prices, is well founded. I also ordered and received another Commander at $120.00 delivered. Now they offer the Tri-Lite at $90.00. Getting the product, from Botach, can be somewhat of a risky proposition however! I am not sure how they can offer such low prices.

el cid -- if you haven't seen them, suggest you do a bit of a search on Botach on G,B,&U. Some luck out, but an awful lot tend to view the potential savings as nowhere near worth the headache and frustration getting an order from them can produce. This seems to be especially true if they are out of stock on something. They do do one thing exceptionally well tho, everybody agrees on that -- they bill your CC the minute the order is rec'd. But hey, what's a couple months interest?

Actually, using Botach reminds me of smoking. Some poeple seem to be able to do it with impunity. Others suffer a lot.

I handled one at a B&M store while on a trip in Arizona, very large and stout for a stiletto-type knife, and a clip on that type knife is very cool. I liked it, but I also thought it was too expensive.

Spark:

As we all know, pricing like this is only temporary. It can't last very long. I sensed your tongue-in-cheek.

Jay:

I see and handle virtually every knife in the industry. On occasion, I add one to my personal collection when it lights my fire (few knives do any more as you can imagine.) I added a 26S to my collection as soon as I finished filling the backlog and could have one left over. It is a beautifully made knife with great fit and finish. Even more importantly, it is balanced perfectly like so few knives are today. You can open it with one hand with amazing ease. Even though it is designed to give one the feeling of the old classic Italian stiletto, it is very well designed and of very high quality. If you can get one for $90, I'd jump on it. Take care.

I dont think it has been mentioned yet, but the guards integrated into the blade allow you to open the knife using the emerson Wave method. Placing your index finger in the curved part of the pocket clip positions your hand in the perfect place to wave open the blade. Looks like we have an unintential crossover, huh? read: Crossovers you'd like to see.... but you won't.

I really like the ti-lite. I was really close to giving in to buying an Italian stiletto but after seeing this CS, I knew I had to have it. I just love Titanium. As ppl have said, the lock does tends to stick, but after working it a number of times it will operate corectly.
