This "sweat" appears on only the side of the folder carried towards my leg in front pockets . On hot humid days, after outside working or playing .

I believe this is not sweat directly , but rather just condensation from vaporized sweat . Like the "sweat" on a cold drink on a hot day .

Actual sweat would be more problematic because of salt content . But I've not noticed any salt deposits built up over time or corrosion on these AUS8 blades .

So, "No sweat " !;)

I have definitely had sweat condensation on blades and I have also definitely had corrosion as a result of it. I personally think that it still has some salt content.

Never on my knives, but on my phone screen every day.

Looks like condesation to me, the the blade isn't touching your leg so I don't see it being sweat.

I forgot to remove a Rajah III from my pocket at the gym one day. I was wearing Wrangler Carpenter shorts. When I finished my workout, one hour of weights and 20 minutes cardio on bike, my Rajah had light orange spots on the side of the blade that was against my leg. It wasn't wet like the picture you posted but was damp on one side. I wiped the blade with a paper towel at the gym but when I got home the orange spots returned. So I sprayed some WD-40 on a cloth and wiped the blade and the rust went away.

Sweat vapor contains salt, similar to humidity near sea, the condensation will leave some salt on the surface.

I have had same condensation before and pitting on my semi stainless / tool steel because of that.

I see a hair next to the "Espada" logo.

I've had a couple VG-10 blades get small rust stains from being clipped to my pocket on particularly humid days. Nothing serious; I removed them with a pencil eraser. Oddly enough, some other VG-10 blades did not develop rust spots under the same conditions. I've also had some minor rust spots on the SS handle of my Spyderco Police. Again, removed with a pencil eraser. And my sweat isn't even as corrosive as some people's.

My hairs are clean , my sweat is pure and fragrant . A powerful aphrodisiac , like scraped from the skin of the gladiators of ancient Rome .:p

Nah , still think it's just condensation and with little or no salt evident .

I carry a Spyderco in ZDP-189 daily... in Texas. This is a real problem. I carry a small microfiber cloth, like you'd use on glasses, loaded with a bit of oil based .1 micron polishing compound. The abrasive removes any oxidation and the oil helps prevent it. It smells nice too. A lot like frog lube.

It's sweat. Simple.

The knives in your pocket aren't cold like drinks unless you keep them in the fridge.

It is sweat.

Sweat (and a hair !) on big Cold Steel blades... Hmmm, that's hot ! This one hasn't yet been pulled by L.T. I bet the Espada XL could draw even more sweat. The heat is on !

Well. If the temperature of the knife blades are lower than the dewpoint in his pocket, then vapor in the air in his pocket will condense on them.

And that vapor is most likely sweat evaporating from him.
