Cold weather sheaths

I'm going to be spending some time in Alaska and want some ideas for sheaths for some of my knives. I've read alot of discussions on this already, so I am looking for some specifics - I know kydex isn't great in cold weather, leather is better, nylon with some kind of liner is good too, etc.

I have a bunch of scandi type knives I've made, I'm assuming everyone is going to say to make a traditional-ish leather sheath for it. I suck at sheaths, lol. Anyone have a good, simple walkthrough they can point me at to make a simple, easy to do sheath for scandi style knives that will work in really cold weather? I'm going to be doing some big leuku type knives too.

And my main question - I have Fallkniven S1 that I did a custom micarta handle on - I'm wanting to get or make a nylon sheath with a plastic liner of some kind for it for cold weather - any ideas on where I can get one? Or other ideas instead of that if you want to give me some ideas.
