Collaborations I would like to see:

1. Bob Dozier (a folder not a fb)
2. Kit Carson
3. Greg Lightfoot
4. Pat Crawford (KFF shoulda been a Spyderco!)
5. Scott Sawby

That is a very cool looking knife! Allow me to second that vote!

The KFF aught to be a Spyderco knife as well...

How about a Chris Reeve collaberation? A G10 lightweight Spyderco Sebenza?

Oh hang on, the Mini Military? How about giving us that soooooooon? Please Sal? Think of the KnifeKnuts! We are crying out for one!

1.Chris Reeve

2.Chris Reeve

3.Tom Mayo

Most of the other custom makers listed (Carson, Elishewitz, Ralph, Lightfoot) already have 'deals' with other manufacturers.

Sal has already talked to Chris Reeve and Chris was not interested. But, Blade show is coming up and Mr. Glesser could certainly use his sparkling personality and not inconsiderable powers of persuasion to keep working on him! Failing that there is Mr. Mayo who already uses a hole in his blades

and makes an incredible ti framelock folder. Ah, a Spydie version of the TNT in CPM or something else besides talonite...

Hi General. I always listen. All things are difficult to do. So selection is necessary. We probably offer more new models and variations than most knife companies.

We haved more han 10 new items in the works. We also have more than 50 requests. We do our own engineering, difficult and time consuming. We get opinions of design choices every day. The priority would have to be based on potential sales (unless it was odd ball experiment, like the Lil'Temperance or trainers).

I'd bet we get more than 20 suggestions for designs on this thread. Which is always a question.

slightly different suggestion:
a military made by microtech with a microbar lock, in S90V.
that would be something you just couldn't top.

I think that Dale Reif would come up with a great Spyder.

If anyone could make a production Sawby lock knife, it would be Spyderco.

I'd love to see a Dave Broadwell collab, but Sal would have to promise not to do a "Jot" ad where Dave was flying through the sky riding on his knife!

I'd like to see what Bub Worrell could come up with in a production format.

Bill Will and Chaz Clemens. These two men are masters of the blade and I have been very fortunate to learn from them.

This may be heresy but given the look & raves about his blades, I'd be interested in a Jerry Hossom-designed folder, made by Spyderco, makers of my favorite folders.

I know you listen Sal

you are one of the good guys that do! However please accept my appology for being so keen to get a mini Military in BG-42

Now THAT would be a knife! Look at the success of the 154CM EDC on this group. How many of use bought at least 2? I know I did! It was hard not buying a couple of blades that were not Spyderco...so I bought 3 of those at the same time! Well four if you count the second hand spydercard I am getting as well...

Cheers!

This is what the Atrox would look like with a hole...

(computer generated hole, do not try this at home...)

I'm happy with the outcome of my collaboration with Dale...

Enjoy!
